Chigee AIO-6 LTE 4G Review: A Smart, Connected Display for Riders

Chigee AIO-6 LTE 4G Review: A Smart, Connected Display for Riders
Hazique Zairill
October 6, 2025

From wireless CarPlay to blind-spot detection and live tracking, we tested the Chigee AIO-6 LTE 4G on local roads to see if it’s the ultimate smart riding companion.

CHIGEE’s new AIO-6 LTE 4G is a 6-inch mounted display built for modern motorcyclists. It’s billed as an ultra-bright 2300-nit touchscreen with built-in 4G, GPS, and support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In practice it also links up with action cameras such as GoPro and Insta360, and it brings features like SOS, geofencing and real-time bike tracking.

Chigee sent us a test unit and we fitted it to my Modenas Kawasaki Z250ABS, then used it on our National Independence Day group ride on 31 August and by the time the group rolled out, the AIO-6 had already become part of the cockpit. In this write-up I’ll walk you through how the install went, what it was like to use on Malaysia’s roads for the past 2 months, how the screen and controls behaved, and the safety and camera features I found genuinely useful.

Chigee AIO-6 LTE 4G Review

First Impressions and Installation

Out of the box the AIO-6 feels like proper motorcycle gear rather than a fragile gadget. The 6-inch screen has some weight and the housing is solid, with IP69K sealing for dust, rain and pressure-wash protection. It does feel sturdy when you pick it up and yes, the quick-release idea is there, but more on that later.

What’s in the Box? (Standard Package)

  • 1x AIO-6
  • 1x Type-C main harness
  • 1x Power cable
  • 3x Reducer rings
  • 1x 22-32mm mounting bracket
  • 2x Cable clamps
  • 1x Ball head component
  • 2x Magic tie
  • 5x Nylon tie
  • 3x Disassembly tool
  • 2x Stickers

However, please note that cameras are not included with the Chigee AIO-6 LTE 4G by default and must be purchased separately to enable the dashcam function, though a pre-bundled variant is available. Unlike the AIO-5 Lite, the AIO-6 requires new, compatible cameras and cables, as the older components are not compatible. Other accessories, such as the quick-release mount, external tire pressure monitor, and remote control, are also optional.

Chigee AIO-6 LTE 4G Review

The install was straightforward and honest enough for anyone who has ever wired an accessory on a bike. The harness is colour coded so you do not have to guess which wire goes where, and the included mount felt solid once bolted down. I ran the cables carefully along the fork leg, tied them down neatly, and used a switched ignition feed so the unit powers on only when the key is turned.

On first power-up the display lit instantly and seeing the Chigee logo appear felt oddly satisfying. If you are picky about tidy wiring, expect to spend a little extra time routing and securing the loom, but for a working install it took me under 15 minutes.

Bright Screen and Controls

With a claimed 2300-nit peak brightness, the display stays readable in strong sunlight. On the highway it remained crisp and clear; I never had to shield it with my hand. The IPS panel and anti-glare surface keep maps and text legible even at sharp viewing angles.

At night the screen dims automatically so it’s not a glare problem. Water beads don’t smear the display, and touch input with gloves works reliably. The physical buttons are large and glove-friendly: power/lock, record/camera, switch and home. Hold the lock button to disable the touchscreen and prevent accidental taps in rain. I liked having both physical buttons and touch controls because the buttons give instant access to core functions without hunting through menus.

If you want more remote control, there is a Bluetooth accessory called CG Wireless Remote Control Pro that mounts on the left handlebar. It lets you operate key functions with your thumb so you do not move your hands around unnecessarily.

Connectivity and Phone Integration

Pairing my phone was painless. On first boot we tapped through Bluetooth setup and the AIO-6 recognised the phone quickly. Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto loaded straight away, and my navigation app, music player and call controls appeared on the AIO-6 screen.

Chigee’s system remembers devices, so after the first setup it tries to reconnect CarPlay or Android Auto every time the bike is turned on. That convenience quickly became my favourite feature. Turn-by-turn directions from my phone loaded instantly and calls or music could be controlled via the screen or voice, so there was no need to touch the phone while riding.

Because this was the LTE model, we also fitted a local SIM to activate 4G. Chigee provides 2 GB free for six months. After that, a subscription of about US$50 per year (roughly RM210 per year for 5 GB) keeps cloud features active. In our tests the 4G connection enabled real-time tracking and safety functions.

CHIGEE GO App on Iphone 15 Pro

You can also set up geofencing around your home and receive alerts if the bike moves out of the zone. There is also an SOS crash-alert. The unit uses G-sensors and accelerometers to monitor motion and tilt. If the system detects a crash pattern, for example an extreme tilt followed by a sudden deceleration, a 60-second countdown appears.

If the rider does not cancel the countdown the device sends location-based SMS messages to pre-registered emergency contacts and may call emergency services. This feature requires a SIM, mobile coverage and GPS signal to work properly. Put simply, 4G lets you track the bike remotely and receive crash notifications from almost anywhere.

Another thing is, please note that the Chigee Display AIO-6 does not include an SD card. You will need to purchase one separately, and an SD card is required for OTA firmware updates. A small-capacity card (8–16GB) is sufficient for OTA updates. Even for OTA updates, we strongly recommend using a U3-grade SD card. Low-quality or slower cards may cause upgrade failures or trigger “insufficient read/write speed” warnings.

Camera Integration & Safety Features

One of the more impressive aspects is how the AIO-6 works as a dashcam hub. We connected a GoPro Hero 12 and the unit displayed a live preview, letting us start or stop recording and capture photos from the handlebar unit. Chigee also supports selected Insta360 cameras for those who prefer them.

We used the dedicated AIO-6 rear dashcam as well. With front and rear cameras attached the system can record continuously. Blind-spot detection will alert you visually and audibly if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, and you can fine-tune the alert distances in the settings. On busy roads the alerts were helpful and raised my situational awareness.

There is a parking monitor mode that uses the cameras to detect motion or vibration while the bike is parked. If triggered, the system records and can send alerts to your phone through the Chigee app. You can adjust sensitivity so it doesn’t trigger small disturbances. This sentry-style monitoring adds another layer of security in parking lots or garages and lets you view footage or live monitor the bike’s surroundings from the app.

On the Road: Real-World Ride Experience

On the road the AIO-6 mostly felt like a natural extension of the bike. Waze directions were easy to follow on screen, and voice prompts came through my helmet intercom paired to the phone. Music streaming and hands-free calls worked without fuss.

Having a neat, legible 6-inch display makes navigating city traffic more comfortable than looking down at a phone. With the phone tucked away I felt less distracted and there was no risk of dropping it.

We rode in Malaysian heat and encountered rain. The unit coped with hot sun without dimming or overheating. When the rain hit the display stayed responsive and the inside never fogged. Battery draw was minimal during several hours of riding because the unit was powered from the bike’s 12V supply, so I had no concerns about power.

Both front and rear cameras helped with blind-spot awareness and provided continuous dashcam coverage. I also tried the TPMS kit and found it useful, especially when I was running a softer compound tyre for twisting routes up Genting. The AIO-6 shows tyre pressure and temperature and that’s the first thing I check each time I start the bike.

Chigee AIO-6 LTE 4G: Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Bright, rugged 6-inch display that is glove- and rain-friendly
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for navigation, calls and music
  • Built-in 4G for live tracking, SOS and geofence alerts
  • GoPro and Insta360 camera integration and dashcam recording
  • Quick-release mounts for easy transfer between bikes
  • TPMS and temperature monitoring available

Cons

  • Relatively high price (around US$560, about RM2,360)
  • Recurring subscription required after the free period to keep 4G cloud services active
  • Navigation depends on your phone; there are no standalone native map apps on the device
  • Some accessories from older Chigee models are not compatible with the AIO-6

Verdict and Closing Thoughts

Overall, the AIO-6 LTE does what Chigee promises: it makes riding safer, smarter and more connected. It brings a car-like cockpit to motorcycle handlebars with a durable, sunlight-friendly screen, reliable phone mirroring and genuine safety upgrades such as SOS, blind-spot alerts and remote monitoring.

Is it for everyone? The price and yearly subscription might turn some riders away, but if you really value integrated camera control, live tracking, and a hassle-free wireless CarPlay setup, the AIO-6 is easily one of the most complete systems I’ve had the chance to try. What I also like is that it isn’t limited to big touring machines, with the right accessories you can mount it on almost anything, from a small daily commuter to a heavyweight cruiser. I’ve been using it on my 250cc and it’s proven to be a huge help even for daily runs.

Chigee AIO-6 LTE 4G Review

Our testing of the AIO-6 LTE will continue through the year, with long-term impressions and coverage of any firmware updates to be published on news.imotorbike.com. Meanwhile, stay tuned for our upcoming big reviews of other Chigee products, including the CG2 Wireless Charger Phone Holder and the G3 Tire Pressure Monitor.

A big thanks to Chigee for supplying the unit for this review and for supporting local coverage. If you’re interested in this impressive tech, you can explore it further and see Chigee’s full catalog on their website at Chigee.com.
