As the 2025 WorldSBK season rolls into its fifth round, the Honda HRC Team arrives at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic with renewed confidence and momentum. Following a competitive showing at Italy’s Cremona Circuit just a week prior, factory riders Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge are setting their sights on podium finishes at a circuit that has historically proven to be a tough nut to crack.

At Cremona, both riders demonstrated notable pace, consistently challenging within the top five. Vierge secured a strong fifth-place finish in both Race 1 and the Superpole Race, while Lecuona closed out the weekend with a sixth-place finish in Race 2. The results mark steady progress for the Japanese manufacturer, especially when compared to the struggles faced at Most during the 2024 season, which was plagued by searing heat and setup difficulties.

This year, the mood in the Honda camp is noticeably more optimistic.

The team has made measurable gains in bike setup and rider consistency, and both Vierge and Lecuona appear more at ease on the CBR1000RR-R. With a more competitive package under them, expectations are higher—and so is the pressure.

Autodrom Most, situated roughly 100 km northwest of Prague, is a unique circuit on the calendar. Measuring 4.212 kilometers with a demanding 21-turn layout, it presents a technical and physical challenge for riders and machines alike. First opened in 1983, the track holds historical significance as Czechoslovakia’s first permanent racing facility and has quickly become a fan-favorite in the WorldSBK paddock since joining the calendar.

The team’s main goal this weekend is to translate their upward trajectory into concrete results. With more data, improved adaptability, and growing synergy between riders and crew, Honda HRC is hoping for weather conditions that allow for a clean and fast race weekend. If things fall into place, a first podium of the season could very well be within reach.

WorldSBK Round 5 – Autodrom Most Schedule (CET):

Friday, May 16

  • 10:35 – 11:20: Free Practice 1
  • 15:00 – 15:45: Free Practice 2

Saturday, May 17

  • 09:00 – 09:20: Free Practice 3
  • 11:00 – 11:15: Superpole
  • 14:00: Race 1

Sunday, May 18

  • Full race schedule continues, with the Superpole Race and Race 2 rounding off the weekend’s action.

Honda HRC fans have reason to be excited—Most may just mark the turning point in the team’s 2025 campaign.
