Toprak Razgatlioglu is building a name for himself with Pata Yamaha, the Japanese manufacturer’s factory team, in the Superbike World Championship.
He’s been offered appointed to MotoGP with the Petronas Yamaha SRT, but he’s turned it down. — either full-time in 2022 or as an occasional replacement for Franco Morbidelli at this year’s Netherlands GP.

Razgatlioglu stated on motosan.es that he never dreamed of reaching MotoGP, but rather the WSBK championship. Hence, he only admits considering the premier class of speed motorcycling if he has a chance after being champion:
– It’s not my dream to compete in MotoGP because the feeling in MotoGP is like a galaxy and that’s a long way off for me. I now have a MotoGP port open for me. But I always said that my dream was to be a Superbike champion. But after being a Superbike champion, maybe I have more chances to compete in MotoGP. I’m just focused on being a Superbike champion. After being WorldSBK champion, we’ll see.
