[Rumour] Bajaj Pulsar NS250 & RS250 to be launched later this year

[Rumour] Bajaj Pulsar NS250 & RS250 to be launched later this year

The latest reports from India suggests Bajaj is gearing up to launch the next-gen Bajaj Pulsar NS250 & RS250 later this year by October 2021.

Currently, the NS200 and RS200 are the premium models under Baja’s Pulsar range. According to the latest reports from India, Bajaj Auto is gearing up to launch the next generation 250cc Pulsar models. The incoming Pulsar NS250 and RS250 are rumoured to be launched in India later this year by October 2021. Sources from India suggests Bajaj has already assembled the prototypes of the 250 twins and the road testing is set to begin very soon.

Speaking of the bikes, Gaadiwaadi suggests the incoming NS250 and RS250 are expected to be built around Bajaj Dominar 250’s beam type perimeter frame and share a few mechanical components with the Dominar 250.

Suspension wise, the Dominar 250 gets 37mm upsidedown forks and preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. However, unlike the Dominar, the NS250 and RS250 are expected to get only telescopic front forks because of cost.

In the case of brakes, the incoming models would most likely make use of Dominar 250’s braking set up with 2-channel ABS. The 248.8cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine together with the 6-speed gearbox is presumed to be carried forward from the Dominar 250 as well.

Having said that, the power output of the incoming models are speculated to be very similar to the Dominar 250 which pushes 26.6hp@ 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 23.5 Nm@ 6,500 rpm.

In the case of electronics and rider aids, the 250 Pulsar twins would feature full LED lighting, digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, slipper clutch and 2-channel ABS as standard.

So, what does this mean for Malaysia? If the reports and rumours are true, there is a possibility that Modenas would bring in the updated 250 Pulsar range to Malaysia in the future. Well, for now, only time would tell.
