If you’ve got a passion for rare collectable bikes, and you’re a fan of Ducati, this is something you can’t miss out! Respectable auctioneer Benham will auction a rare Ducati Supermono on a special event to be held in Las Vegas next January 24.
According to Bonhams, this particular Ducati Supermono was never used in racing and is in perfect running condition, so the owner won’t have any trouble if he wants to rider this rare bike around.
The Supermono will be auctioned with a starting bid set at 95.000 American dollars, but sources say, since this bike is in such perfect condition and is so rare, that the final value of this special Ducati will be well over 100.000 dollars.
For those of you that don’t know the Supermono, this is a bike designed by design guru Pierre Terblanche in the beginning of the 90’s. Ducati only produced 67 units of the Supermono, between 1993 and 1995, and the engine derived from the Ducati 888 Corsa.
This means the Supermono started by having a 550 cc engine with 78 hp, but later got a bump in displacement up to 572 cc and also a rise in power output to 81 hp.
