Ducati secures the Chinese Superbike Championship for the first time!

Ducati secures the Chinese Superbike Championship for the first time!

Ducati is about to introduce the beautiful Panigale V4 in the Chinese market, and days before that introduction, the Italian brand received the best news when it comes to marketing strategy. Alessandro Valia has won the Chinese SBK title riding a Panigale V4S, and that’s the first time Ducati wins in China and, more important, the first title for the Panigale V4.

Valia, an official Ducati Test Rider, is best known to help the Borgo Panigale factory to develop their road going bikes like the Panigale V4, and makes constant appearances on press launches of Ducati bikes to international specialized media. And that makes this title even more special!

He rode a regular Panigale V4S fitted only with official Ducati Performance parts anyone can buy on Ducati dealerships and use on production bikes, against rivals that used motorcycles that could be tuned to World Superbike specifications.

Alessandro Valia managed to mathematically win the Pan Delta Racing Series championship despite a DFN in Race 1 and Race 2 being cancelled due to a typhoon approaching the southern part of China. Valia won the title, after literally dominating four of the five races held over the last few months on the Chinese circuit of Zhuhai.

Ducati couldn’t ask for better publicity before introducing the Panigale V4 into the Chinese market.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
