Casey Stoner might be enjoying his retirement from racing, but the former MotoGP champion with Ducati and Honda is always a person that pays attention to everything surrounding the sport. This time Stoner spoke about one of his biggest rivals: Valentino Rossi.
The relation between the two MotoGP icons has never been good, to the point that both had some on and off-track altercations.
But even they’re not best friends, the truth is that Stoner respects what Rossi has done over the years in the World Championship, and speaking to Italian website GPOne.com the Australian rider had this to say
“Valentino is like me. Without all the electronic that influences the behavior of the bike and if everything was controlled by the right wrist, Rossi would still be number 1. He might not have the rhythm to win the championship, but he’s still a top rider, and finishes all the races in the top positions”.
