KTM continues to refine its electric off-road lineup with the updated KTM Freeride E—a model that’s been evolving for over a decade and now feels more capable than ever.
For 2027, the Freeride E gets noticeable upgrades in power, torque, and overall usability. Its electric motor now produces 19.2 kW and 37 Nm of torque, delivering that instant punch electric bikes are known for. KTM has also added multiple ride modes and energy regeneration settings, giving riders more control over performance and battery efficiency depending on the terrain.
One of the biggest changes this year is that the bike is now street-legal, opening it up beyond just trails and off-road tracks. That flexibility pairs nicely with its quiet, low-maintenance design—something that’s always been a core part of the Freeride’s appeal.
Battery performance has improved too. The 5.5 kWh swappable unit delivers around 2–3 hours of typical riding and withstands extensive charge cycles. Charging times vary depending on the setup, but faster options are available for those who want less downtime.
Despite the upgrades, KTM has kept things lightweight at just over 110 kg, with a well-balanced chassis, WP suspension, and quality components that make the bike feel agile and easy to handle. A refreshed look rounds things out, giving the 2027 version a more modern edge.
Overall, the latest Freeride E shows how far electric dirt bikes have come, blending practicality, performance, and versatility into one package that works both on and off the road.
