Superbike Advocates Racing will join the 2026 WorldSBK grid with Ducati machinery, marking a major step for the Australian-owned team’s global racing ambitions.

Superbike Advocates Racing has officially confirmed its entry into the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship, adding a fresh and ambitious presence to the paddock. The announcement signals a significant step for the Australian-owned outfit as it prepares to compete on the global stage with Ducati machinery.

A New Team Joins the WorldSBK Grid

The team is set to field the Ducati Panigale V4 R and will begin its campaign from the European rounds. It starts at Portimão, rather than contesting the opening round in Australia. This phased entry reflects a strategic approach. It allows the squad to focus on preparation and development as it adapts to the demands of world championship competition.

Experience Meets Ambition

At the centre of the project is Tommy Bridewell, whose experience in top-level superbike racing brings both credibility and stability to the team’s debut effort. Partnering with Ducati provides a competitive technical foundation, given the Panigale V4 R’s proven performance in WorldSBK.

For a new entrant, aligning with an established platform is a clear signal of intent, not merely to participate, but to build a competitive programme from the outset.

A Milestone for Australian Representation

The entry also carries symbolic weight. Superbike Advocates Racing is now the first Australian-owned team to compete in the WorldSBK championship. This move highlights the growing international reach of the series. It also underscores how independent teams continue to see WorldSBK as a viable and aspirational platform.

Rather than framing its debut purely around immediate results, the team has positioned the 2026 season as a learning and building phase. Entering mid-season allows for structured progress, data gathering and team cohesion without the pressure of a full campaign from round one.
