BBM Motorcycles, based in Spain’s Basque Country, has introduced the Hiro platform, a modular electric motorcycle architecture designed to support multiple styles, including a Streetfighter, Roadster, Café Racer and Scrambler. The first model to launch is the Hiro Streetfighter, built to deliver high performance, rapid charging and premium handling comparable to traditional sport motorcycles.
The Hiro Streetfighter is powered by a 94 hp (70 kW) radial-flux motor producing 150 Nm of torque and revving up to 12,000 rpm, with a top speed of 190 km/h (electronically limited). Despite housing a nearly 12.96 kWh, 360V battery, the bike weighs around 200 kg, keeping it within the typical range of large combustion naked bikes. The chassis features a Chromoly trellis frame, an aluminum swingarm and subframe, a 43 mm USD fork, a fully adjustable rear monoshock, and 320 mm dual front discs with radial four-piston callipers.

Fast charging is one of Hiro’s defining strengths. On a CCS2 charger, the bike can recover 100 km of range in about nine minutes. Charging from 20% to 80% takes roughly 15 minutes, indicating an effective charging power close to 30 kW. AC charging completes 0–80% in about 78 minutes (6 kW), while a standard household plug takes around 2.5 hours. BBM cites a real-world urban range of 220 km or more.
The Hiro platform delivers long-term adaptability by using serviceable, upgradable battery modules, bio-composite bodywork, and components built for reuse or recycling. Beyond its hardware, the system integrates the BBM Dynamic App, which provides ride mode customisation, regeneration tuning, vehicle health monitoring, smart route planning, and over-the-air updates.
Engineering support for the Hiro project comes from Maison Saroléa of Belgium, contributing expertise in drivetrain performance, lightweight structural design and advanced battery technologies.
BBM will produce the Hiro models in the Basque Country, with prices starting at €16,900 before taxes. The company plans to release pre-production prototypes in mid-2026, complete EU homologation later that year, and expand to North American and Asian markets in 2027.
