The SYM VF3i, once hailed as the “world’s highest capacity moped,” officially gets a successor with the launch of the all-new SYM VFE 185i. The debut took place during the MForce Mid-Autumn Gala at Courtyard by Marriott Kuala Lumpur South. Priced at RM9,988 (excluding insurance), the VFE 185i features more performance, style, and technology.
The VFE 185i is powered by a fuel-injected, SOHC 183 cc single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. It produces 19.7 hp at 9,000 rpm and 17.46 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, while retaining the VF3i’s 7-litre fuel tank capacity.
Visually, the YM VFE 185i sports a fresh new look with LED headlights and taillights, complemented by a full-colour digital meter that displays speed, rpm, and gear position.
On the hardware side, it rides on 17-inch rims with 90/80 front and 120/80 rear tires. Braking is handled by front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, paired with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock.
Other features include a USB-A charging port, smart key system, and a choice of three colour options. Each unit is covered by a two-year or 20,000 km warranty, underscoring MForce’s commitment to customer confidence.
