KOVE Moto has officially made its debut in Malaysia, bringing with it two new models, the Kove 800X GT and Kove 450R, alongside the previously introduced Kove 450 Rally, which is now locally available. The launch event, held at KEV Advenduro in Rawang, marks a significant milestone for the Chinese motorcycle brand as it sets its sights on Southeast Asia.

MDua Motor Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of AFY Mobility Industries (AMI), has been appointed as the sole and exclusive distributor for KOVE in Malaysia. While most current KOVE models arrive as CBU units, this collaboration ensures future models will benefit from local assembly, improved parts availability, after-sales service, and warranty coverage in line with KOVE’s global quality standards.

KOVE Moto

Leading the new lineup is the Kove 800X GT, a full-fledged touring motorcycle powered by a 799cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, delivering 97 hp at 9,000 rpm and 80 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. It’s paired with a six-speed gearbox and two-way quickshifter.

The 800X GT comes equipped with a vertical TFT screen, four riding modes (Sport, Comfort, Rain, Off-Road), tire pressure monitoring system, heated grips and seat, ABS, traction control, and LED lighting all around. Suspension duties are handled by KYB adjustable forks, while braking is managed by twin front discs.

With a 22-litre fuel tank and 195 kg weight, the 800X GT promises serious long-distance comfort and performance. As a launch special, the first 20 customers will receive an exclusive pannier box set with their purchase. Priced at RM48,888, the 800X GT stands out as an accessible premium adventure-tourer.

Meanwhile, the Kove 450R made its world premiere at the event as the first-ever road-legal unit sold outside of China. Priced at RM 33,888, this naked streetfighter is powered by a 443cc inline 4-cylinder engine producing 65.3 hp at 12,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm, making it one of the lightest and most powerful bikes in its class at just 164 kg.

The 450R combines modern design with advanced tech, including LED projector headlights, TFT screen with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and two riding modes, Eco and Sport. Braking performance comes from twin 300mm discs up front and a single rear disc, with ABS and traction control as standard. The 450R also boasts a launch control feature, capable of hitting 205 km/h, setting a new performance benchmark in its segment.

KOVE Moto

Additionally, the Kove 450 Rally, the model inspired by the brand’s Dakar Rally pedigree, has received an updated local price of RM39,900. It features a 449cc single-cylinder engine producing 51.7 hp and 40 Nm, fully adjustable YU-AN suspension, 21/18-inch wheel setup, and a 30-litre fuel tank, all packed into a lightweight 145 kg frame.

All KOVE models, including the 800X GT, 450R, and 450 Rally, are now available for viewing and purchase at the AMI Bumirai Showroom, PJ222 Petaling Jaya. Prices exclude registration, road tax, and insurance.

With these launches, KOVE Moto signals its strong commitment to offering high-performance, value-packed motorcycles for Malaysian riders, blending Chinese innovation with global riding standards.
