Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn. Bhd. (MODENAS), a member of the DRB-HICOM Group, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the introduction of a brand-new scooter for the Malaysian market, the Modenas Elit 150S, priced at RM7,877. The model revives the “Elit” nameplate and will be available in two colour options: Riviera Blue and Quantum Grey, accompanied by a two-year or 20,000 km warranty.

Designed to cater to today’s urban riders, the Modenas Elit 150S blends contemporary styling, modern technology, and everyday practicality, making it a strong contender in the local scooter market.

Modenas Elit 150S

At its heart lies a 149cc SOHC liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, paired with a CVT automatic transmission, producing 14 hp at 8,250 rpm and 13.5 Nm at 6,750 rpm. With a 12-litre fuel tank, Modenas claims the scooter can cover up to 480 km on a full tank.

The scooter rides on 13-inch rims, supported by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is managed by front and rear disc brakes, though the model does not feature an ABS system.

Practicality is a key highlight, with the Elit 150S offering 23 litres of under-seat storage, dual front storage pockets, a USB charging socket, smart lock system, and emergency lights. Rider information is displayed via an LCD digital meter panel.

Visually, the Elit 150S carries a modern and stylish design, enhanced with LED lighting (including DRLs), sleek body lines, and a spacious seat for two riders,  appealing to both commuters and casual scooter enthusiasts.

With this launch, MODENAS not only revives a familiar name but also reinforces its position as a key player in Malaysia’s scooter segment, offering riders a blend of style, performance, and practicality.
