After an intense weekend in Barcelona, the Ducati Lenovo Team heads straight to Misano Adriatico for Round 16 of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship. The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is more than just another stop on the calendar; it’s home turf for Ducati, a place filled with history, milestones, and a passionate sea of red in the grandstands.

Ducati’s Dominance at Misano

Ducati arrives at Misano with the constructors’ crown already secured—its seventh in history and sixth consecutive title—highlighting the unrivalled dominance of the Desmosedici GP. Since the track’s return to the calendar in 2007, the Bologna-based manufacturer has collected seven premier-class wins here. Misano was also the stage of Ducati’s 100th victory in MotoGP last season, cementing its legacy.

The roll of honour includes legends and modern stars: Casey Stoner’s breakthrough win in 2007, Andrea Dovizioso in 2018, Pecco Bagnaia in 2022 and 2023, Jorge Martin in 2023, Enea Bastianini at the Emilia Romagna GP, and Marc Márquez’s double victory last year.

Márquez Leads, Bagnaia Returns to Form

Marc Márquez continues his formidable campaign in Ducati colours. With 487 points, 14 Sprint victories, 10 Grand Prix wins, and fresh from a solid second place in Barcelona, the Spaniard now targets a sixth Misano triumph to widen his advantage before MotoGP embarks on its overseas leg.

Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia, meanwhile, comes into his home race buoyed by a stunning comeback in Catalunya. A fan favourite and a proven force at Misano, Bagnaia will be eager to channel the energy of the Italian crowd and deliver another memorable performance.

What’s Next

Action begins on Friday, September 12th, with the first free practice session at 10:45 a.m. local time. With the championship picture starting to take shape, Misano promises high drama, passionate fans, and a chance for Ducati to extend its extraordinary run in front of its home faithful.
