Márquez & Ducati Unleash the Diavel V4 RS

Márquez & Ducati Unleash the Diavel V4 RS

September 30, 2025

Ducati’s Diavel V4 RS blends cruiser comfort with MotoGP performance. With Marc Márquez’s stamp of approval, this 180 hp muscle bike hits 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and sets a new benchmark for street dominance.

When Ducati decides to break its own rules, the results are rarely subtle. The new Diavel V4 RS is proof. Long celebrated as Ducati’s rebellious cruiser, the Diavel has always straddled the line between swagger and sport. But with this RS edition, the Italians have raised the stakes, infusing their muscle-bike with lessons straight from the MotoGP paddock.

And who better to prove the point than Marc Márquez, fresh off his 2025 MotoGP World Championship title? Just days before clinching the crown, the Spaniard donned his leathers to put the Diavel RS through its paces. The outcome? A street-legal brute with the heart of a racebike.

A Hypercar Beater on Two Wheels

Ducati’s decision to strap its 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 into the Diavel frame has created something monstrous. Tuned for about 180 hp and delivering a wall of torque across the rev range, it makes short work of the sprint to 100 km/h, 2.5 seconds flat, according to Márquez’s test runs. That’s faster than many supercars, all while sitting in a stance that screams “cruiser with attitude.”

Electronics come straight from Ducati’s most exotic stablemates: multiple ride modes, Ducati Power Launch, a quickshifter, and every traction and wheelie control system you could need when flirting with MotoGP-level chaos.

Racing Pedigree, Street Personality

The RS isn’t a marketing gimmick. Ducati’s MotoGP development team, including seasoned tester Michele Pirro, worked alongside Márquez to refine the chassis and handling. Forged wheels, Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, and a counter-rotating crankshaft ensure the Diavel RS is more than just a dragstrip monster. Even that oversized rear tyre, once derided as decoration, has been engineered into a serious tool for corner carving.

This is a cruiser that hustles as hard in the twisties as it does off the line.

A Customiser’s Dream

Beyond the factory spec, the Diavel RS is practically begging for customisation. Builders around the world are already eyeing its aggressive silhouette as a canvas. Expect billet swingarms, titanium exhausts, and stripped-down bodywork to start appearing in workshops. Ducati’s comprehensive electronics suite means even wild builds can still be tamed by modern rider aids.

Of course, the stock muffler may be the first thing to go. Its bulkiness practically invites replacement with something sleeker (and far louder). And once custom paint schemes and 3D-printed panels enter the mix, the RS will become a showpiece as much as a street dominator.

The Verdict

The Diavel V4 RS isn’t cheap, but Ducati hasn’t built it to be. It’s a machine that wears its contradictions proudly: equal parts cruiser comfort and MotoGP ferocity. With Márquez’s stamp of approval and Ducati’s relentless engineering, it’s already a legend in the making.

Whether left in stock form or torn apart in a custom shop, one thing is certain: the RS makes losing a traffic-light drag race virtually impossible. This is Ducati at its most unfiltered, audacious, uncompromising, and devastatingly fast.
