BMW Motorrad Malaysia has officially introduced its latest motorsport-inspired machine, the BMW M 1000 RR Competition, a road-legal superbike designed to deliver unmatched precision, power, and aerodynamic performance.

Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, said: “Since the year began, BMW Motorrad Malaysia has been in full throttle, making 2025 a truly exhilarating time for motorcycle enthusiasts across the country. From Sports and Adventure machines to Tour and Heritage bikes, we’ve worked to introduce a diverse range of models that ignite passion for every kind of rider. Today, with the arrival of the New BMW M 1000 RR Competition, we take that thrill to an entirely new level, bringing motorsport excellence and uncompromising engineering straight to Malaysian roads and racetracks.”

He added, “The New BMW 1000 RR Competition is a true statement of intent, representing the pinnacle of BMW Motorrad’s engineering, racing heritage, and bold vision for the future. For riders in Malaysia seeking the ultimate in power, agility, and presence, the New BMW M 1000 RR Competition is the definitive answer to the ethos of ‘Make Life A Ride’.”

BMW M 1000 RR Competition

Engineered for Pure Performance

At its heart, the new M 1000 RR Competition is powered by an updated 999cc inline four-cylinder engine, now pushing 218 hp at 14,500 rpm – 6 hp more than its predecessor. That translates into blistering acceleration, sprinting from 0–100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and reaching a top speed of 314 km/h.

One of its highlights is the new M Winglet 3.0, crafted from carbon fiber and capable of producing up to 30 kg of downforce at 300 km/h. This translates into enhanced cornering stability and reduced front-wheel lift during hard acceleration.

Rider Tech for the Track

The superbike comes equipped with advanced rider assistance features such as Slide Control and Brake Slide Assist, allowing controlled drifts while cornering or braking aggressively. Riders also get the versatile Riding Pro modes – including Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race – plus three customizable Race Pro modes.

Premium M Competition Package

As part of the M Competition package, the bike is loaded with high-performance upgrades including:

  • M Carbon Package (carbon fiber components)
  • M Billet Package (CNC aluminum parts)
  • Lightweight M carbon rims

Ownership in Malaysia

The BMW M 1000 RR Competition is priced at RM 299,500 (on-the-road, without insurance), and ownership can begin from RM 4,178 per month with BMW Group Financial Services’ Straight Line Financing Plan (90% loan, 7-year tenure). Buyers also enjoy BMW’s 3-Year Warranty, Roadside Assistance, and additional service and warranty extension programs.

Final Thoughts

The new BMW M 1000 RR Competition is not just another superbike, it’s a statement of intent. Blending BMW’s racing DNA with real-world usability, it sets a new benchmark for superbikes in Malaysia, perfect for riders who want racetrack-level performance with road-legal practicality.
