Malaysian rising star Qabil Irfan returns to the Circuit de Navarra this week with high spirits and clear focus as the España Superbike Championship (ESBK) enters Round 4 of the 2025 season. The race weekend will feature two main races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
Located in northern Spain, the 4,313-kilometre Navarra circuit is known for its technical layout, comprising 17 corners, 11 right-handers and 6 left-handers, and demands precision and strong braking skills. The track holds fond memories for Qabil, who, in 2024, secured pole position here and finished third and second in Race 1 and Race 2, respectively, in the Moto4 category.
Now racing with Frando Racing VHC Team Liqui Moly, Qabil currently leads the overall championship standings with a 43-point advantage over his closest rival, Spanish rider Izan Rodriguez. Despite the cushion, Qabil remains focused and driven to extend his lead.
“This is one of my favourite circuits. It has technical sections with hard braking zones and chicanes — the kind I really enjoy,” said Qabil before departing for Navarra on Tuesday night. “I’ve prepared well, including NSF training sessions at Sepang Circuit. God willing, I’ll do my best to get back on the podium.”
His team is equally optimistic. A ZK Racing representative shared confidence in both Qabil’s preparation and his riding style, which suits Navarra’s technical demands.
“He’s been incredibly consistent all season. We hope he can maintain that momentum and fight for another podium or even a win. Last year, he showed a strong performance here, and we believe he can do it again.”
Fans will be able to catch Race 2 live via the official RFME YouTube channel (youtube.com/@RFME). For real-time updates on Qabil’s journey, follow ZK Racing’s official Facebook and Instagram pages.
With strong momentum and clear intent, Qabil Irfan is ready to take on one of the most crucial rounds in the ESBK calendar. All eyes are now on Navarra. Can the young Malaysian extend his championship lead and deliver another standout performance on European soil?
