As the 2025 MotoGP season reaches Round 11, the Ducati Lenovo Team heads to Sachsenring with confidence, momentum, and history on their side. Set in the hills of Saxony, the compact 3.67 km circuit—renowned for its tight layout and ten demanding left-hand corners—has long been a hunting ground for Marc Márquez, who has claimed eight consecutive premier class victories here between 2013 and 2021.

Now in Ducati red, Márquez arrives as the championship leader with 307 points and back-to-back perfect weekends under his belt. His sights are firmly set on adding a ninth Sachsenring victory to his career tally, time on the Desmosedici GP.

Marc Márquez (#93)

“This will be a more attacking weekend. Sachsenring suits my riding style perfectly, so we’ll push harder than in Mugello or Assen. The goal is clear: fight for the win and make it count.”

Márquez’s track record, paired with Ducati’s dominant form—three wins at Sachsenring since 2008 and a 2024 podium lockout—makes him the rider to watch. But teammate Francesco Bagnaia, third in the standings with 181 points, is steadily regaining form. Fresh off a podium in Assen and showing improved pace, Bagnaia is focused on bridging the performance gap.

Francesco Bagnaia (#63)

“Assen was a step forward. I’m still building confidence on the front end, but Sachsenring is a unique challenge. We’ll use the sessions to see where we stand and keep pushing.”

The German GP offers a pivotal chance for both riders—Márquez to extend his lead, and Bagnaia to reduce the deficit as the title race intensifies. Ducati leads both the Constructors’ and Team Championships, underlining the Desmosedici’s technical superiority this season.

Looking Ahead with Ducati

Free Practice kicks off on Friday, July 11, at 10:45 local time, as the Ducati Lenovo Team prepares to unleash its full potential at a track where the margin between mastery and misstep is razor-thin. For Márquez, it’s a homecoming of sorts to a circuit he once owned. For Bagnaia, it’s a chance to strike back and keep his championship hopes alive.

With Ducati on top and momentum building, the German Grand Prix promises to deliver yet another thrilling chapter in the 2025 MotoGP title fight.
