Kawasaki Webike Trickstar is heading into round three of the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship, the iconic 46th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race, with renewed confidence, claiming they are “faster” than ever before.

Riding high after a podium at the 24 Heures Motos in Le Mans and a strong fifth-place finish at the 8 Hours of Spa Motos, the team currently sits second in the overall EWC Team Championship standings. Their momentum is further bolstered by a productive two-day test at Suzuka Circuit last month.

Italian rider Christian Gamarino, who made his comeback at Spa after missing Le Mans due to injury, reflected on his return: “I came to Spa with the fear of not being able to ride, especially after the big high-side crash in Q1. It was a tough weekend in many ways, but it was important to come back and fight with my team. We finished fifth and stayed second in the championship.”

On the Suzuka test, Gamarino said, “It was two very hot days but definitely useful since the race will be run in similar conditions. We’ve done several tests on the bike and we’re definitely faster than last year.”

Gamarino will be joined on the #11 Kawasaki ZX-10R by experienced French riders Mike Di Meglio and Grégory Leblanc. For Leblanc, this year’s Suzuka race marks a return to a track where he couldn’t compete last year due to an injury during Warm-Up.

“Fifth place [at Spa from P9] was the realistic goal. We were counting on more rain, but we managed to avoid the traps. A podium would’ve been great after Le Mans, but we got big points, no mistakes and no crashes. We’re heading to Suzuka with the right mindset.”

Di Meglio, a two-time EWC champion, emphasized the importance of consistency and survival at Suzuka: “Spa was not easy but we secured the maximum points possible and remain second in the standings. Suzuka is special — it’s hot, the S Curves are amazing, but once you’re out of them, you feel like you’ve already done a full race.”

With their strong form and positive pre-race testing, Kawasaki Webike Trickstar is aiming to continue its championship charge in Japan, chasing a coveted podium and crucial points at one of endurance racing’s most iconic events.
