After a demanding stretch of back-to-back races, the Ducati Lenovo Team arrives at the Automotodrom Brno for the 12th round of the 2025 MotoGP season. This marks the long-awaited return to one of the championship’s most iconic and technical tracks, which has been absent from the calendar since 2020.
A Track Steeped in History
Brno, located in the Czech Republic, is known for its flowing 5.4 km layout, elevation changes, and a distinctive uphill final sector leading to the finish line. Ducati has a rich history at the circuit. Victors include Loris Capirossi (2006), Casey Stoner (2007), and Andrea Dovizioso (2018). Now, the team hopes to add a fourth name to that list.
Márquez Eyes More Glory
Championship leader Marc Márquez (#93), with 344 points, comes into Brno riding a wave of momentum following a commanding victory in Germany. A three-time winner at Brno during his Honda years (2013, 2017, 2019), Márquez is eager to adapt the Desmosedici GP to the Czech circuit for the first time.
“This is definitely one of the most beautiful and challenging tracks on the entire calendar,” said Márquez. “We’ll be starting from scratch, but I can’t wait to get out on track.”
Bagnaia Aiming for a Breakthrough
Francesco Bagnaia (#63), currently third in the standings with 197 points, delivered a strong Sunday comeback in Sachsenring despite a difficult Sprint. While a MotoGP podium at Brno has eluded him so far, the Italian has fond memories of the circuit, having finished third in Moto2 back in 2018.
“Brno has always been one of my favorite tracks,” said Bagnaia. “We’ll keep working, especially to improve rear grip.”
Brno Circuit Overview

Brno is a rider’s circuit—demanding in terms of line precision, tire management, and rhythm. The long corners and flowing elevation make setup choices critical, particularly under braking and acceleration.
