With the summer break fast approaching, the ITALJET GRESINI Moto2 Team heads into a critical doubleheader, tackling two vastly different but equally iconic circuits: Germany’s Sachsenring and the returning Brno in the Czech Republic. This marks a turning point in the 2025 season. It offers a unique opportunity for both Albert Arenas and Darryn Binder to solidify their form and fight for points.
Albert Arenas: Momentum Building
Albert Arenas enters this double challenge with confidence and ambition. A podium finish at Mugello and a strong run at Assen have reignited the Spaniard’s rhythm and reaffirmed his presence among the front runners in Moto2. With Sachsenring’s tight and twisty layout up first, followed by the flowing, newly resurfaced Brno circuit, Arenas is targeting back-to-back podium fights.
“We arrive with speed and with a great desire to return to the podium,” said Arenas. “Sachsenring is particular, but I believe we can be competitive there. Brno is a track I’ve always enjoyed, and it’s exciting to have it back. We’re stepping up race by race, and I want to enjoy the battle at the front.”
The team’s growing pace and consistency make Arenas a real threat as the first half of the season winds down.

Darryn Binder: Turning the Tide
After a string of difficult weekends, Darryn Binder is eager for a reset. The South African rider views the upcoming races as a fresh start and an ideal chance to regain confidence aboard his Moto2 machine. Sachsenring’s short and flowing configuration suits Binder’s aggressive style. On the other hand, Brno’s grand return to the calendar adds a spark of excitement.
“Sachsenring is definitely one of my favourite tracks,” Binder shared. “I’m really hoping we can turn things around and find our rhythm again. And Brno—I haven’t raced there since 2020. It’s such a cool layout. To ride it for the first time with a Moto2 bike will be very special.”
With Brno resurfaced and offering a level playing field, Binder sees it as a prime venue to reset and finish the first half of the season on a high note.
A Doubleheader of Opportunity in Moto2
This back-to-back series presents not only a physical and mental test for the riders but also a strategic opportunity for the ITALJET GRESINI team. Momentum, adaptability, and precise setups will be key to extracting strong results from two very different racing environments.
As the Moto2 grid heads to Sachsenring and then Brno, all eyes will be on Arenas and Binder. For ITALJET GRESINI, it’s a chance to affirm their growing competitiveness and perhaps, to cap off the first half of the season with a podium or two.
