Joining the CB750 Hornet in Honda’s latest middleweight line-up, Boon Siew Honda Malaysia has officially launched the 2025 Honda XL750 Transalp, an adventure-touring motorcycle built for both asphalt and trail. Priced at RM56,800 (excluding road tax, insurance, and registration), the Transalp comes in four colour options which is Ross White, Pearl, Deep Mud Gray, and Graphite Black.

For 2025, the Transalp receives notable updates, including a more compact dual LED headlight and a newly designed windscreen made from eco-friendly Durobio material, which not only improves wind deflection but supports Honda’s sustainability push.

Aerodynamic performance also sees improvement, thanks to a redesigned upper fairing with a central air intake for enhanced airflow to the rider. Additionally, revised suspension settings deliver better off-road stability without compromising long-distance comfort.

Powering the Transalp is a 755cc liquid-cooled SOHC parallel-twin engine, producing 90.5 hp at 9,500 rpm and 75 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.

Fuel capacity is 16.9 litres, with a standard seat height of 850 mm, though a 820 mm low seat option is available. The bike weighs in at 208 kg, making it a well-balanced machine for both road touring and light trail use.

Inside the cockpit is a new 5-inch TFT-LCD display with three display modes and improved readability under direct sunlight. Honda also adds new backlit switches on the left handlebar pod, offering easier operation while riding. Smartphone integration is standard via Bluetooth and the Honda RoadSync app, compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

The electronics suite includes five ride modes (Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User), along with four power modes, three engine braking levels, five traction control settings, and switchable ABS for off-road riding.

Suspension components are courtesy of Showa, with 43mm SFF-CA USD forks up front and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. The Transalp gets 200 mm of front travel and 190 mm at the rear, with 210 mm ground clearance for confident off-road use.

Designed with dual-sport versatility in mind, the Transalp features a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear, wrapped in 90/90 (front) and 150/70 (rear) tyres. Braking is handled by dual 310mm wave discs with two-piston calipers up front and a 265mm rear disc with single-piston calipers.

With modern adventure styling, high-spec electronics, and a capable chassis, the 2025 Honda Transalp is now available to Malaysian riders looking for the ultimate do-it-all mid-size adventure machine.
