The legendary Indian Motorcycle brand has officially made its return to Malaysia under the new management of Spirit Lake Motor Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of AFY Mobility Industries (AMI). AMI, which also manages Suzuki, MV Agusta, and Fantic in Malaysia, now adds Indian Motorcycle to its expanding portfolio of premium motorcycle brands.
The launch ceremony, held at Shizuku Coffee in B.Land, Petaling Jaya, marked a new chapter for Indian Motorcycle’s presence in Southeast Asia. While previously distributed under Naza and briefly by another entity, the brand’s official re-entry now comes with a clear long-term strategy.

The name Spirit Lake Motor itself pays homage to Indian Motorcycle’s historic manufacturing plant in Spirit Lake, Iowa, signifying a deep-rooted connection to the brand’s legacy and enduring craftsmanship. The relaunch underlines a renewed focus on offering Malaysian riders not just motorcycles, but a piece of American heritage.
Shown during the launch was a range of Indian Motorcycle’s current lineup, including the Chieftain Dark Horse, Springfield Dark Horse, Scout, Scout Bobber Twenty, Scout Rogue, and Scout Bobber, with prices ranging from RM89,000 to RM233,000 depending on the variant.

With this debut, Spirit Lake Motor will also provide a comprehensive line up of customer services, including after-sales service, spare parts, technical assistance, warranty coverage, and official merchandise.
The official distributor will also provide a comprehensive line up of customer services, including after-sales service, spare parts, technical assistance, warranty coverage, and official merchandise.

For now, Indian Motorcycle will operate from the AMI Showroom at PJ222 in Petaling Jaya, but a dedicated 3S Centre (Sales, Service & Spare Parts) is currently under development. Once completed, it will serve as a flagship lifestyle hub, offering not just motorcycles and service, but a destination for Malaysia’s cruiser and touring community to connect, hang out, and celebrate the brand’s iconic heritage.
With this official relaunch, Indian Motorcycle is now poised to reignite its legacy in Malaysia, offering not just powerful machines, but a lifestyle steeped in classic Americana and modern engineering.
