The cowboy keeps charging. Aaron Plessinger continued his solid run in the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship with another podium finish, claiming third overall at Thunder Valley in Colorado. This marks back-to-back podiums for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, who now sits third in the 450MX standings.
Plessinger kicked off the weekend strong with the second-fastest qualifying time, then backed it up in Moto 1 by sticking with the lead group from the start. He made a late move for the lead and eventually brought it home in second. In Moto 2, a small bike adjustment didn’t go as planned, but he still held on for fifth, locking in P3 overall for the round.
“That first moto was a blast and I felt great,” said Plessinger. “I probably should’ve left the bike setup alone for the second moto, but lesson learned. Still, being in the battle with the top guys is where I want to be. We’ll keep grinding and go after that win next weekend.”

In the 250MX class, Tom Vialle had a steady day with a 6-5 moto score that put him fourth overall. The French rider admitted he wasn’t quite clicking with the track but still walked away with solid points that keep him fifth in the championship hunt.
“It wasn’t my best day,” said Vialle. “I had a decent pace but just couldn’t get comfortable out there. We’ll reset and push for a better result at High Point.”
Meanwhile, Julien Beaumer had a rough outing. He showed good speed but crashed in both motos, ending the day 17th overall. Despite the tough break, he’s still holding on to seventh in the 250MX standings.

“Not much to say, really. I crashed twice, and that pretty much ruined my day,” Beaumer said. “I know my speed is there, so it’s just about putting the pieces together next time out.”
As the series heads to High Point, Pennsylvania, on June 14, all eyes will be on Plessinger to see if he can finally break through for that elusive win and shake up the 450MX leaderboard.
