With the gates about to drop on the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing is reigniting its outdoor campaign with a youthful twist. All eyes turn to Ryder DiFrancesco and Casey Cochran, two of the most promising young riders in the 250MX class. The two are set to make their mark when the series kicks off this Saturday at Fox Raceway in Southern California.

Both riders are fresh off injury recovery and bring renewed firepower to the team’s 250MX lineup, mounted on the GASGAS MC 250F Factory Editions. Their return not only signals a reset for the team but also marks a pivotal moment in their respective careers.

Ryder D: Back to Business

After showing top-five pace in the early rounds of 250SX West, 20-year-old Californian Ryder DiFrancesco is eager to get back behind the gate. Sidelined since January’s San Diego round, Ryder’s comeback story begins on familiar turf. He is certainly ready to turn pre-season prep into podium potential.

“I’m excited to have some fun, start off with a bang, and show these boys that we’ve been putting in the work!” said DiFrancesco, with the kind of swagger fans love and competitors fear.

Cochran’s Official GASGAS Debut

While DiFrancesco has had a taste of factory action, Casey Cochran will make his long-awaited debut for GASGAS this weekend. Just 18 years old and already a podium finisher at Spring Creek in 2024, Cochran has spent the off-season quietly building strength and speed. Now healthy and locked in, he’s ready to let loose on the national stage.

“I can’t be more stoked on the prep coming in,” Cochran shared. “I’m ready to get after it this year.”

Barcia Bides His Time

Meanwhile, fan-favourite Justin Barcia, a key figure in the 450MX roster, will delay his return as he continues recovering from a re-aggravated knee injury sustained late in the Supercross season. Though not present at Fox Raceway, Barcia’s determination remains intact.

“I’ve been doing therapy 24/7… I just need a little more time to be truly ready for an outdoor gate drop.” Barcia noted, with plans to return once fully fit.

Rebuilding and Recharging

Team Manager Sean Murphy emphasised that the 2025 season represents a fresh start after an injury-marred Supercross campaign. With Barcia taking a cautious approach and the 250 squad firing on all cylinders, expectations are high.

“They’re looking strong and hungry heading into the first round,” Murphy said. “We’re looking forward to a fresh start and can’t wait to see what this group can do.”

From Pala to Budds Creek, the 11-round outdoor campaign will test stamina, grit, and raw talent. For GASGAS, it’s not just about redemption. It’s about reigniting the thrill of the great outdoors with two fearless young riders and a veteran who’ll return with unfinished business. Let the summer battles begin.
