The 2025 MotoGP World Championship shifts to Europe as the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad arrives at the iconic Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto for the Gran Premio de España, marking the fifth round of an already electrifying season.

Enea Bastianini continues adapting to the KTM RC16, showing steady progress with strong race pace but seeking improvement in single-lap performance. The Italian, who scored a top-five finish at Jerez last season, remains focused on securing better grid positions to challenge the front-runners.

“We have made good improvements in the last round in Qatar, which I am looking forward to exploiting this weekend in Jerez,” said Bastianini. “We could understand the potential of the bike with Maverick’s performance at the last round, so it gives me confidence that we can reach that point too.”

Maverick Viñales arrives with boosted confidence after his stunning (but penalized) second-place finish in Qatar. The Spaniard has shown remarkable progress since joining the team, with Jerez offering an ideal stage to continue his upward trajectory.

“We enjoyed our weekend in Doha a lot,” Viñales stated. “I am super excited to jump back on the bike and continue the work we have been doing since the start of the season. We have been making important steps lately.”

Team Manager Nicolas Goyon highlighted KTM’s recent success at the Andalusian circuit: “In the last two years, our bike has performed well, with two KTM bikes on the sprint podium last season, and two KTMs on the podium in 2023.”

The team will remain in Jerez for a crucial Monday test session, providing valuable development time away from race weekend pressures.

With Viñales’ home-track advantage and Bastianini’s steady progression, Red Bull KTM Tech3 aims to make a strong statement as the championship returns to European soil. The post-race test could prove equally significant as the team continues refining their package for the long season ahead.
