The legendary Bugatti Circuit at Le Mans has reaffirmed its place as MotoGP’s premier fan destination, with organisers announcing a five-year extension that will keep the French Grand Prix on the calendar until 2031. The decision comes after back-to-back all-time attendance records in 2023 and 2024, solidifying the event as a cornerstone of the championship.
Beyond the on-track battles, the French GP has become a weekend-long celebration of motorsport culture. From dawn until dusk, fans are treated to immersive entertainment, interactive displays, and a buzzing atmosphere that sets the standard for MotoGP events worldwide.
Claude Michy, Promoter (PHA Claude Michy), expressed his gratitude: “Meeting Carmelo Ezpeleta years ago was a privilege. His vision transformed MotoGP into the global phenomenon it is today. Extending our partnership until 2031 is an honour and a testament to Le Mans’ unique energy.”
Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, highlighted France’s pivotal role: “Le Mans isn’t just a race, it’s France’s largest sporting event and a blueprint for MotoGP’s future. The diverse, record-breaking crowds prove how deeply this sport resonates here. With PHA, we’ve created something truly special.”
This year’s French GP (May 9–11) promises another electric weekend, with fans eager to witness reigning champion Pecco Bagnaia, home hero Fabio Quartararo, and rising stars like Pedro Acosta battle on the iconic layout.
As Le Mans gears up for its 2025 edition, one thing is clear: MotoGP’s love affair with France is stronger than ever.
