It’s official: MotoGP will continue to race at the iconic Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia until at least 2031. A newly signed contract ensures five more Grands Prix at the fan-favourite venue, covering the 2027–2031 seasons and reaffirming Valencia’s place as one of the crown jewels of the MotoGP calendar.

Known for its unique amphitheatre layout, Valencia offers one of the most complete viewing experiences in motorsport. Here, fans can take in nearly the entire circuit from any grandstand. Combine that with a loyal and passionate fanbase, top-tier organisation, and proximity to one of Europe’s cultural hotspots, and it’s no wonder the venue has earned the coveted Best Grand Prix award multiple times.

A Favourite Among Fans and Riders

The renewal cements Valencia’s status not just as a calendar mainstay but as a symbol of the sport’s spirit. With a rich racing heritage and a layout that invites close battles and thrilling season finales, the Circuit Ricardo Tormo has often played host to historic moments—and will continue to do so for years to come.

Carlos Mazón, President of the Generalitat Valenciana, hailed the agreement as a victory not only for motorsport but for the region:

“There is no other Grand Prix that hangs the sold-out sign as far in advance as Valencia. The fandom here is unmatched. This renewal is a huge step forward, especially in a time where we’re focusing on both emotional and economic recovery.”

He emphasized the vital role MotoGP plays in the local economy, tourism, and cultural identity of the Valencian Community.

A Track with Soul

For Circuit General Manager Nicolás Collado, the announcement is the best kind of news.

“To be in 2025 and guarantee the Valencia GP until 2031 is a great source of pride. We’re grateful for the support of the Valencia government, Dorna, and all the fans who have helped keep the spirit of motorcycling alive in the region.”

The announcement follows a challenging year in 2024, when flooding forced the cancellation of the Grand Prix. Collado noted that efforts are already underway to make the November 2025 race the best Valencia GP ever.

Dorna’s Commitment to Valencia

Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta echoed the enthusiasm:

“The track is unique, the fans are incredible, and the promoter always delivers. After what happened in 2024, this renewed deal highlights our long-term commitment to Valencia. We’re proud to continue this journey together.”

Looking Ahead

As MotoGP enters an era of heightened global competition and technological innovation, its roots remain strong in the places that have shaped its history. Valencia is more than just a circuit—it’s a celebration of the sport’s soul, and with this renewal, its future is as thrilling as its past.

With five more Grands Prix guaranteed and a passionate fanbase eager to fill the stands once again, the road ahead for Valencia and MotoGP looks nothing short of spectacular.
