The entire MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship grid assembled at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit for the two-day Official Test, but it was a tough start for Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team). The reigning champion suffered a highside crash at Turn 6 (Siberia) during the opening session, falling on just his third lap of the test.
The incident forced Razgatlioglu to sit out the remainder of the first session, but the Turkish rider escaped serious injuries and returned to action for the afternoon session.

Meanwhile, six-time world champion Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) endured an even more unfortunate day. The Northern Irishman crashed at Turn 2, bringing out a red flag before being taken to the medical centre for a check-up. Rea completed only 20 laps and was classified 15th, 1.431s off the pace set by Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati).
Following medical evaluation, Rea was diagnosed with multiple fractures to his left foot, ruling him out of the remainder of the test and the season-opening race weekend at Phillip Island.
Testing will continue on Tuesday, with Razgatlioglu and the rest of the field making final preparations ahead of the 2025 WorldSBK season opener at the same Australian circuit next weekend.
