BMW Motorrad Motorsport reflects on an extraordinary 2024 season marked by titles, victories, and podium finishes across the globe in both factory and customer racing.

The Bavarian manufacturer enjoyed an immensely successful year, with factory-supported and private teams showcasing the dominance of the M1000 RR and S1000 RR on racetracks worldwide.

The pinnacle of the season came with Toprak Razgatlioglu’s historic victory in the FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK). Riding for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team, the Turkish rider secured BMW’s first riders’ title in the prestigious series, cementing the M machine status as a true superbike contender.

Other BMW riders also dominated in national and international championships. In the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM), Ilya Mikhalchik of Alpha Van Zon BMW claimed the championship crown.

Elsewhere, BMW clinched titles in Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, alongside a commanding performance in the International Road Racing Championship (IRRC), where David Datzer of MTP Racing secured the title.

In road racing, BMW showcased its strength at iconic events. Davey Todd delivered two victories at the North West 200, and at the Isle of Man TT, BMW swept the 1000cc categories. Todd claimed wins in the Superstock TT and Senior TT, while Peter Hickman took victory in the Superbike TT.

BMW’s dominance continued at the Macau Grand Prix, where despite the race cancellation due to rain, the Bavarian bikes topped qualifying, occupying the top four positions led by Todd.

Reflecting on the season, Sven Blusch, Head of BMW Motorrad Motorsport, expressed pride in the outstanding performances from both factory-backed and private teams, stating, “A truly exciting year comes to an end,” and reaffirming the brand’s strength on the global stage.

“These accomplishments make us incredibly proud, as they prove that the BMW M1000 RR is a true championship-winning machine and underscore the unity and strength of the global BMW Motorrad Motorsport family.”
