Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has officially secured the expertise of MotoGP Legend Dani Pedrosa for the 2025 season, extending his influential role in advancing KTM’s RC16 machine for the MotoGP competition.
The renowned Spaniard, known as one of the modern era’s standout riders, has been instrumental in the RC16’s evolution since joining KTM as a test rider in 2019 after retiring from an illustrious career that saw him achieve 31 wins and 112 podiums back in 2018.
Pedrosa, 39, has not only offered his insight into the technical aspects of the bike but has also made four wildcard appearances, deepening his influence on the MotoGP program. With KTM’s sights set on advancing the RC16 for both the 2025 and 2026 seasons, the three-time World Champion will remain a critical part of the team’s testing and R&D efforts in Austria, continuing his role as an integral contributor to KTM’s progress.
Reflecting on his renewed commitment, Pedrosa stated, “It’s a pleasure to take our journey into another year. We know where we need to make improvements, and the effort of the whole factory has not eased at all in making the best bike for the riders to perform on track. I’m looking forward to what we can do for 2025 and the ideas that will come along.”
KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer expressed enthusiasm about Pedrosa’s continued involvement: “This was a straightforward decision for both parties and that’s a good sign of a strong relationship and trust.”
“We really believe in what Dani brings to our MotoGP program on different levels, not only in the saddle of the next generation of the KTM RC16, and this contribution is vital. We know the turnaround we are seeking will come and with Dani as part of the team it will only arrive quicker,” he added.
