Last weekend’s FIM JuniorGP Round 6 at Motorland Aragón, Spain, saw two of Malaysia’s rising talents, Danial Syahmi (Junior Talent Team) and Hakim Danish (SIC Racing – Msi), deliver commendable performances.

Danial Syahmi started from his best grid position since Round 2 in Estoril, lining up in P8. During the opening lap, he made a strong push to move up to P4, but after facing pressure from his competitors, he fell back to P10. Despite the challenges, Danial managed to hold onto his position and finished in 10th place, securing 6 valuable points. This result moves him to 17th in the championship standings with 26 points.

Reflecting on his race, Danial said, “I’m grateful to finish safely in P10. These points mean a lot, especially after a string of races without collecting any. I had a good start, moving up from P8 to P4, but other riders were constantly challenging me, which made it tough to maintain my place in the leading group. Still, I gave it my all, and I want to thank my team, sponsors, family, and all Malaysians for their support.”

Meanwhile, Hakim Danish, who started from P15, climbed up to P10 in the first lap. He managed to advance to P8 before tyre grip issues set him back, eventually finishing in P13. His 3 points from the race keep him in 15th place overall in the championship, with a total of 46 points.

Hakim said, “I started in P15 and finished P13. The start went well, and I was able to stay with the front group for a few laps, but I struggled with tyre grip later in the race. Still, I adapted and finished the race. I’m focused on improving for Valencia, and I appreciate the prayers and support from everyone back home, as well as from my sponsors and team.”

SIC Racing Team Leader Zufahmi expressed optimism about the weekend’s results: “Both riders showed great effort. Hakim was competitive in every practice, though we had a minor technical issue with the front wheel during the race. It’s a learning experience for the team. Danial also performed well, qualifying in 8th and finishing in 10th, competing with the front group for a good portion of the race. We’re seeing positive progress from both riders.”

The final round of the FIM JuniorGP will take place in Valencia on November 24, where both riders will aim to build on their performances and end the season on a high note.
