Ducati Corse announced that starting in 2025, the VR46 Racing Team will be its factory-supported team in MotoGP. This multi-year agreement will see the VR46 Racing Team field an official Desmosedici GP on track. They will benefit from full technical and sporting support from Ducati’s headquarters in Borgo Panigale.

A New Era for VR46 Racing Team

Founded in 2014 by nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi, the VR46 Racing Team has carved a niche in MotoGP. Initially competing in Moto2 and Moto3, the team made its MotoGP debut in 2021. Over the years, the VR46 Racing Team has achieved remarkable success. Francesco Bagnaia won the Moto2 World Title in 2018. In the 2023 MotoGP season, Marco Bezzecchi finished third in the championship. He contended for the title for much of the season.

Strengthening Partnership

Luigi Dall’Igna, General Manager of Ducati Corse, expressed his enthusiasm. “From day one, the VR46 Racing Team has shown its ability to work in perfect harmony with Ducati. In recent years, we achieved important results together. We are happy to further fortify our relationship. We will provide the Pesaro-based team with full factory support starting next season. I am sure that together we can achieve other significant goals! I want to thank Valentino, Uccio, Pablo, and all the people working with the team with great passion and dedication.”

A Proud Moment for VR46

Alessio Salucci, Team Director of VR46 Racing Team, shared his pride. “I can only be proud to announce that from next year, the VR46 Racing Team will be the Ducati Factory Supported Team in MotoGP. We will be on track with an official bike and a GP24. If they had said it a few years ago, I wouldn’t have believed it. It’s a truly significant moment for the entire group. We achieved this result in just three years. Our young team has many guys with us from Moto3. This is extraordinary. I want to thank all the people who work in the team. Thanks to our partners, Ducati, and Gigi Dall’Igna for believing in this project. We have demanding years ahead, full of challenges. We can’t wait to test ourselves and try to achieve ambitious results.”

Looking Ahead

With this new chapter, the VR46 Racing Team is poised for a thrilling future in MotoGP. The partnership promises a competitive edge and exciting performances. MotoGP fans can look forward to a formidable collaboration on the track. The VR46 Racing Team and Ducati will bring passion, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.
