MotoGP is ready to witness a thrilling new chapter as Brembo, the renowned braking system supplier, takes the title sponsorship for the Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello in 2024 and 2025. This prestigious event, officially named the Gran Premio d’Italia Brembo, will unfold from May 31 to June 2, 2024.

Brembo’s involvement in MotoGP spans decades. This is evident by their crucial role as the braking system supplier for every team in the premier class. In 2023, their commitment deepened with their designation as the official Braking Inspiration Partner for MotoGP. This enhanced television broadcasts with data-rich graphics showcasing the extraordinary braking performance in the sport. This partnership, now extended until 2027, underscores Brembo’s dedication to innovation and excellence.

Brembo first took the mantle of a MotoGP title sponsor in 2021 for the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve. Their return to headline the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello aligns with a significant milestone—the 50th anniversary of Brembo. This iconic Tuscan circuit has been a staple on the calendar since 1976. It offers a perfect backdrop to celebrate Brembo’s illustrious history and achievements.

Daniele Schillaci, CEO of Brembo, expressed his excitement. “We are thrilled to announce that Brembo will be the title sponsor of the 2024 and 2025 Italian Grand Prix at Mugello. It is a circuit that has been an integral part of the calendar since 1976. It is capable of evoking the history and allure of motorcycle racing on a global scale. Our long tradition in motorsport and this collaboration with MotoGP mark our ongoing commitment to innovation and performance: our braking systems have been chosen by all teams for nine consecutive world championships, consolidating Brembo’s image as the undisputed leader and benchmark for riders and teams.”

Schillaci also emphasized the synergy between Brembo’s values and MotoGP. “MotoGP represents the evolution of motorsport and stands today as a dynamic platform to engage with an increasingly young and passionate audience. Values such as excellence, passion, and determination, shared by Brembo, are the driving force behind our growth and success and find their highest expression in this championship.”

The partnership signifies Brembo’s strengthened bond with MotoGP, aiming to inspire and captivate new generations of motorsport enthusiasts. “We look to the future with enthusiasm, ready to write the next chapter of this thrilling story together, with the goal of inspiring and engaging the new generations, sharing the unique emotions that only motorsport can offer,” added Schillaci.

Dan Rossomondo, Chief Commercial Officer of Dorna Sports, the rights holder of MotoGP, welcomed the collaboration. “We’re very happy to welcome Brembo as the title sponsor for the Italian Grand Prix. Brembo has been an established presence in our sport as a supplier to the premier class. It’s great news for MotoGP that the relationship has continued evolving. From supplier to Braking Inspiration partner and now also the title sponsor for one of our most coveted race weekends. We’re looking forward to returning to Mugello for the Gran Premio d’Italia Brembo.”

With Brembo at the forefront, the 2024 and 2025 Italian Grand Prix at Mugello promises high-octane racing. It will also celebrate engineering excellence and a shared passion for motorsport. This partnership commemorates Brembo’s legacy. It propels MotoGP into an exciting future, driven by innovation and the pursuit of perfection on the track.
