Malaysian rider Qabil Irfan embarked on an exciting journey to the ESBK Jerez, Spain, with hopes of gaining valuable racing experience. However, his journey was not without its challenges and learning opportunities.

In a reflective post-race statement, Qabil expressed gratitude for completing Race 2, despite not being entirely satisfied with the outcome. He cited a lack of confidence with the motorcycle, slippery track conditions, and struggles with cold weather as contributing factors to his performance. Nevertheless, he remained optimistic about his growth potential and extended his appreciation to all who supported and prayed for him.

Zulfahmi Khairuddin, Team Principal of ZK Racing, provided insights into the team’s objectives and outcomes from the event.

Participating in the Moto4 category of ESBK offered Qabil early exposure to European racing. Race 1 saw Qabil secure a commendable 6th-place finish, but Race 2 brought its own challenges.

Khairuddin recognized Qabil’s struggles in Race 2, stressing their significance in his developmental journey. Despite obstacles like confidence issues and adverse weather, Qabil’s determination shone as he navigated the demanding race.

The team leader extended his gratitude to the various entities that supported their endeavour, including SIC, KBS, and all sponsors. He also expressed special thanks to Frando Racing for providing a competitive motorcycle, essential for Qabil’s performance on the track.

Looking ahead, Khairuddin outlined the team’s plans to regroup in Malaysia. They’ll focus on training for the upcoming round in Valencia. This period of reflection is crucial for harnessing Qabil’s potential.

In conclusion, Qabil Irfan’s participation in ESBK Jerez was a significant milestone. It was marked by both triumphs and challenges. As he continues to hone his skills, the lessons learned will serve as valuable building blocks for future success.
