In exciting World Superbike news, former MotoGP rider Tito Rabat has joined Puccetti Kawasaki for a full season.
Rabat, who made occasional appearances with Manuel Puccetti’s team in the last three years, is gearing up for an extensive campaign in the premier superbike championship.
Expressing joy, the 34 year old spaniard shared that, “I’m thrilled to continue with Kawasaki Puccetti Racing.” In the past, I filled in mid-season, so participating in winter testing and all races will boost our results.”
The spaniard, initially a sub for the 2013 champ Tom Sykes, delivered promising performances throughout the 2023 season. His success earned him a one-year contract, marking a significant step in his World Superbike career.
Team boss Manuel Puccetti can’t wait to extend collaboration with Rabat, providing him the opportunity to participate in winter testing and the full season after stepping in mid-season for other riders.
Rabat’s World Superbike journey began in 2021 with the Barni Ducati team after a solid stint in MotoGP. Despite challenges, including leaving Barni after eight rounds, Rabat returned later in the year with Puccetti, showing resilience. His 2023 performances earned him the chance to compete in the full 2024 season.
To gear up for the season, Rabat will test the upgraded Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR in January at Jerez and Portimao. The team aims for regular top-ten finishes, thanks to improvements in the machine.
With renewed commitment, Tito Rabat aims for podium success in the highly competitive World Superbike Championship.
