Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Modenas bikes, recently introduced the much-anticipated “Yellow Ball” Edition of the Kawasaki Z900 RS. This retro motorcycle made its debut in the Malaysian market, captivating enthusiasts with its distinctive design and powerful performance. The launch coincided with the inauguration of the second flagship 4S centre, Kawasaki Setapak. The ceremony showcased the company’s commitment to providing top-notch service and a wide range of motorcycles.

With a price tag of RM 63,600, the new Z900 RS is a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model. It elevates the premium experience for Kawasaki enthusiasts while maintaining elegance. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Mr. William Ho, Director of Kawasaki Setapak, at the impressive Kawasaki All Star centre. It adheres to the design and construction standards of Kawasaki Plazas in Japan.

The “Yellow Ball” Edition of the Z900 RS is a visual delight. It features a unique yellow and black paint scheme that adds a touch of nostalgia to its retro styling.

The motorcycle boasts a leather seat cover, chrome grab rails, and the iconic Kawasaki logo on the tank. Notably, it pays homage to the Z1 heritage with the original Kawasaki Z1 ‘900’ badging on the side covers.

Under the hood, the Z900 RS houses a robust 948-cc Inline-four engine. It is capable of generating a maximum power of 111 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 98.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Equipped with anti-lock brakes and the Kawasaki traction control system, this motorcycle promises a thrilling and safe riding experience.

In a separate achievement, Modenas secured a remarkable five-star rating from the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) for 11 of its models through the Malaysian Motorcycle Assessment Programme (MyMAP). This accomplishment solidifies Modenas’ position as the manufacturer with the highest number of 5-star ratings, totaling 13 motorcycles.

Roslan Roskan, CEO of Modenas, emphasized the significance of this achievement. He stated “This underscores our dedication to promoting safer motorcycles through advanced safety technologies such as the antilock braking system, commonly known as ABS.

We are committed to raising consumer awareness about safe riding practices for crash prevention, thereby encouraging informed purchasing decisions.”

The introduction of the Kawasaki Z900 RS “Yellow Ball” Edition marks a milestone for Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd. The retro charm, coupled with advanced features, positions this motorcycle as a sought-after choice among enthusiasts. With the concurrent success in achieving a five-star safety rating, Modenas continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering both style and safety to the Malaysian motorcycle market.
