11-year-old Malaysian speedster Qabil Irfan Azlan dominated the 160cc qualifying round at the FIM MiniGP World Championship in Valencia.
At the Ricardo Tormo Kart Circuit, his exceptional skills secured him the coveted pole position.
In practice, Qabil showcased his talent, gearing up for an outstanding qualifying performance. With an impressive time of 44.166 seconds, he outpaced his European rivals, earning the top spot.
Thrilled by his success, the Terengganu native thanked his team and father, saying, “I’m grateful for this unexpected front-row start. Thanks to my crew and my supportive father. I won’t let today’s result down; aiming to stay at the front tomorrow.”
As the 4 PM Malaysian time race approaches, Qabil faces tough competition. Spanish rider Enzo Zaragoza secures second place, and Austrian racer Ethan Sparks takes the third spot.
Another Malaysian talent, Muhammad Airel Ahmad Marzuki, impressed, winning the 160cc first qualifying race and grabbing the 18th spot for the actual race.
In the 190cc category, 15-year-old Muhammad Farish Hafif showed positive racing spirit, claiming the ninth position in the qualifiers, gearing up for today’s competition.
Valencia is set for an exciting race, with Qabil Irfan Azlan proudly representing Malaysia. Fans eagerly await the FIM MiniGP World Championship’s thrilling spectacle as these young racers hit the track.
