Harley-Davidson has officially launched the Harley-Davidson X440 in India after weeks of viral ‘teasers’ of the motorcycle.
Developed with Indian giant Hero MotoCorp, the motorcycle with a capacity of 440cc single cylinder comes in three variants. The price range starts from INR 229,000 (RM13k) to INR 269,000 (RM15k) only.
Hero MotoCorp developed the engine of the bike but the overall X440 still received the touch of Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee, USA. As such, we can still see the Harley-Davidson style in the overall look of this X440.
For the record, this Harley-Davidson X440 features a 440cc engine with an air/oil cooling system. The engine is capable of generating 27hp at 6,000rpm and 38Nm at 4,000rpm. Engine power is sent to the rear tires through a 6-speed manual transmission.
The suspension system comes through a USD 43mm fork from KYB at the front and two shock absorbers at the back. The brake package consists of 320mm front and 240mm rear brake discs matched with ByBre callipers and dual-channel ABS.
Despite being one of the affordable Harley-Davidson motorcycles, this model still offers premium features including a 3.5-inch TFT meter panel and LED lights.
