BMW Motorrad introduced the limited edition BMW R nineT 100 Years in conjunction with the anniversary of the German motorcycle brand which was in December last year.

According to BMW Motorrad, only 1,923 units were produced for the global market at the time. Interestingly, out of that number, 10 units are now offered for the Malaysian market at a price of RM129,500.

The BMW R nineT 100 years comes with a number of special features including the Black Storm metallic colour combination. It also features a chrome-plated tank as a tribute to the 1969 R 75/5 model.

The standard equipment available on the R nineT 100 Years includes a combination of LED lights with DRL (daytime running light) and twin-meter panels. It has ASC (automatic stability control) and two riding modes (Rain and Road). It also comes with adjustable rear shock absorbers (preload) and an adjustable telescopic front fork.

Meanwhile, this BMW R nineT 100 Years features the same 1,107cc Boxer engine with air/oil cooling. It is capable of generating 109hp and 116Nm.

Braking power is controlled by twin front brake discs with 4-pot brake callipers. It is also assisted by the ABS Pro system that comes as standard.
