Scooter manufacturer, Peugeot Motorcycles, is about to boost the ADV scooter segment with the launch of its all-new XP400. The manufacturer recently unveiled the new model at the EICMA in Milan.
Based on the images, it is clear that the XP400 draws inspiration from the Honda X-ADV.
According to Peugeot Motorcycles, this XP400 comes with two variants, Allure and GT. Both variants come with the same design but are differ by the use of alloy rims and ‘wire-spoke’ on the GT variant.
Powering the XP400 is a single-cylinder, 400cc liquid-cooled PowerMotion engine capable of producing 36.7hp at 8,150rpm and 38.1Nm at 5,400rpm.
Other equipment on the scooter includes 17-inch front and 15-inch rims, an upside/down type fork with 140mm of travel, as well as dual front brake discs and a single rear brake disc.
The GT variant looks more aggressive with the presence of ‘engine guard’ and spoke rims. On the other hand, the Allure variant comes with alloy rims. Both variants will come with dual-channel ABS as standard.
To complete the modern image, the XP400 features a 5-inch TFT display, a USB charger and a spacious storage space under the seat.
Price details about the Peugeot XP400 are still scarce but it is likely that the company will reveal all details at the time of launch in 2023.
We can expect this ADV maxi scooter to enter the markets early next year in Europe.
