Aprilia RS 660 Extrema Special Edition 2023 now lighter with new livery

The new Aprilia RS 660 Extrema Special Edition 2023 uses carbon fibre components to reduce the overall weight of the motorcycle.

Aprilia has produced a special edition sportbike variant, the RS 660 Extrema 2023 with a lighter overall weight and improved performance. We can expect the bike to enter the market starting next year.

The RS 660 model may be less popular in many markets, but the circumstance is different in the United States. Aprilia saw major success in the Super Twins class of the MotoAmerica racing series.

In conjunction with celebrating the achievement, Aprilia applied a special colour scheme similar to the US flag for the Aprilia RS 660 Extrema Special Edition 2023. The name Extrema comes from the RS125R Extrema model that was produced in the 90s.

The weight of the Aprilia RS 660 Extrema Special Edition 2023 is only 166kg. This is due to the use of a new SC Project exhaust system with carbon fibre silencers.

There are also other carbon fibre components such as the exhaust bracket, front fenders and engine cowl.

The model features a single saddle cowl and electronic feature setting options such as the Quick Shifter to the racing shift patent. This means that users can change the patent and gear shift direction without removing any components. Users would just need to tune the electronic control unit (ECU).
