Honda ADV160 introduced in the Philippines at RM13.2k

With the launch of the Honda ADV160 in neighbouring countries Thailand and the Philippines, many are anticipating that Malaysia would be next.

The Philippines became the third Southeast Asian market after Indonesia and Thailand to launch the 2022 Honda ADV160.

The adventure scooter comes with a new engine and is available in three new colours: Matte Solar Red Metallic, Matte Pearl Crater White and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.

For 2022, the new generation ADV160, which replaces the ADV150, is powered by a liquid-cooled 157cc 4-valve SOHC engine offering 15.82hp at 8,500rpm and 14.7Nm at 6,500rpm. Engine power is channelled through the V-Matic automatic transmission.

The ADV160 is marketed in the Philippines at a price of PHP164,900 (RM13.2k).

Following the launch of the Honda ADV160 in three ASEAN markets at the moment, many are expecting the Malaysian market to be the next hub for the launch of the scooter.

The demand for the ADV150 in Malaysia was high and the addition of the upgraded model will intrigue many local enthusiasts.

While Boon Siew Honda will be introducing a new compact scooter for the local market this November, we can confirm that the model is not the ADV160. However, Malaysians are still counting on the rollout of the ADV160 adventure scooter sometime soon.
