Ducati Malaysia has officially launched the Ducati Panigale V4 2022 for the local market. The bike comes in two variants, the Panigale V4 and V4 S. Both models are priced at RM148,900 and RM188,900 respectively. For 2022, there are some recent improvements implemented mainly in the engine, chassis, body panels and electronic packages.

First, the body panel section has now been upgraded with the addition of an air funnel to improve the engine heat level. Not only that but the air funnel on that side is also intended to cool the quickshifter.

Meanwhile, Ducati has also upgraded the gear ratio has also been streamlined with gears 1, 2 and 6 now coming up with longer ratios than the 2021 model.

The longer gear ratio is intended to ensure the power flow of the 1103cc V4 engine is more controlled, especially at low RPMs.

The V4 engine now offers 215.5hp compared to 214hp on the previous model. However, users can also upgrade to the Akrapovic exhaust (full system) which can increase power up to 225hp as well as 5kg lighter than the standard exhaust.

The increase in power is due to upgrades to the ‘underslung exhaust’ section which is now 18 per cent larger in addition to a more efficient cooling system.

Meanwhile, the tank section now offers a capacity of 17L up 1L compared to the previous model. Ducati has also redesigned the tank section to ensure the ‘rider’ can place the arm on the side of the tank better especially when taking turns.

The foot section now grips the bottom of the tank better when applying the sudden brake to ensure the machinery is still in control. Another feature that has also been improved is the winglet design which, although smaller, still produces 37kg downforce at a speed of 300km/h.

The Ducati Panigale V4 S 2022 is also upgraded with an electronically adjustable Ohlins NPX 25/30 front fork. The front fork also offers a 5mm longer movement distance to 125mm than before. At the same time, the TFT screen display has also been redesigned and now comes with two LED gear shift lights at the top.
