Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto added a third variant to the 700CL-X family when it introduced the ADV version. The CFMoto 700CL-X ADV joins the existing Sport and Heritage variants in the range.
Compared to Heritage which features a neo-retro design while Sport is more contemporary, 700CL-X ADV looks more rugged and aggressive with scrambler elements.
The 700CL-X ADV model was introduced three years after the Chinese motorcycle company revealed the concept model at EICMA 2019. CFMoto had to delay the production of the third variant in the 700CL-X portfolio due to the Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world before.
A significant comparison between the ADV and the two existing variants can be seen in the Scrambler’s more prominent features. It includes the use of 19-inch front tires with wire-spoke rims, as well as a higher front ‘beak’ position.
In addition, CFMoto also installed a special panel to facilitate the installation of ‘panniers’. Not only that, but this CFMoto 700CL-X ADV also offers an ‘off-road’ riding mode.
However, this new model still features the same 693cc two-cylinder engine as the Heritage and Sport variants, which is capable of producing 74hp at 8,500rpm and 68Nm at 6,500rpm.
According to CFMOTO Malaysia which is the official distributor of the CFMoto brand in the country, we can expect the 700CL-X ADV to arrive in the local market around the beginning of next year.
