Benelli has upgraded the Leoncino 800 and 800 Trail for 2022 with the biggest updates implemented in the engine parts. For 2022, the Leoncino 800 and 800 Trail now comes with Euro 5 compliant engines, on par with emissions adjustments in Europe.

Although the Leoncino 800 and 800 Trail are equipped with the same engine and frame both offer different features. The Leoncino 800 features a naked motorcycle design while the 800 Trail is more of a scrambler.

Both models are equipped with the same 754cc DOHC 4-valve parallel-twin engine. They are capable of delivering 75hp at 8,500rpm and 67Nm at 6,500rpm with engine power channelled to the rear tires with a 6-speed transmission.

Apart from the Euro 5 engine, Benelli also upgraded the chassis and trellis frame which also helps to increase the level of agility and be more able to handle ‘off-road’ surfaces.

The suspension section is also upgraded to a USD 50mm fork at the front with an adjustable rear ‘monoshock’ (preload/rebound).

However, the braking system remains with both coming with 320mm brake discs on the front that are matched with Brembo 4-pot brake callipers. Meanwhile, the Leoncino 800 is matched with 17-inch front and rear tires while the Leoncino 800 Trail is equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tires.

Among other features include full LED lights, a 15-litre tank, a TFT screen display and a double-barrel exhaust.

Currently, the Leoncino 800 and Leoncino 800 Trail are yet to be offered in Malaysia by the official distributor of MForce Bike Holdings.
