Former national MotoGP rider, Hafizh Syahrin has confirmed that he will start competing in the 2022 World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) with the sponsorship of a new helmet, KYT.
Hafizh, who has been wearing the SHOEI helmet for a long time before, will compete on the WorldSBK stage with KYT for the first time in the rider’s career.
Hafizh also announced the sponsorship of the KYT helmet on his Instagram account. He was also seen posing with two KYT helmet models, NFJ Tigra and NFJ Falco.
The 27-year-old will make his first appearance at WorldSBK in the 2022 season with MIE Racing Honda Team after being confirmed to leave the Moto2 World Championship with NTS RW Racing at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, Hafizh will be paired with Leandro ‘Tati’ Mercado, who was also announced as the official rider for the 2022 season after showing an impressive performance last year.
MIE Racing Honda Team also confirmed that Hafizh and Mercado will be racing with Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.
