Concerns for the second half of MotoGP

The second part of the MotoGP championship is about to start and one of the logistical problems that arise is mainly related to the tyre manufacturer, largely due to health restrictions due to the pandemic. Piero Taramasso admits that there is ‘very little space maneuver’ to operate.

‘It’s complicated because you can’t anticipate the way you’d like, by producing the tyres in advance and then shipping them out. Send tyres by boat, after three months, and here we are; there is time but there is no margin and, if something happens, it will be complicated. – Everything works slowly and is not easy to organize. If something goes wrong we have to produce very quickly and ship it through the air, with additional costs and stresses.
