If you have never heard of the brand Aveta, here is a quick run-through. Aveta is a motorcycle manufacturer from Malaysia who is fairly new to the market. For now, Aveta offers a range of Kapcai models, however, sources suggest the Malaysian motorcycle brand is planning on launching an all-new adventure scooter called the Aveta Dayang ADV 150 for the Malaysian market very soon.

In fact, motorcycle dealers such as Tr Motorworld Cheras Brach have already opened up booking for the Aveta Dayang ADV 150! As for the official launch, sources speculate the model to be launched by June or July this year.

AVETA DAYANG ADV 150:

Speaking of the bike, the incoming dual-purpose scooter is a rebadged version of the Dayang ADV 150 from China. Having said that, the specifications of the Malaysia-bound model is expected to be very similar to the foreign market model.

In the case of the design, the Dayang ADV 150 is very similar to the Honda ADV 150. However, if you put both the bikes side by side there are certain places where the Dayang ADV 150 follows its own design language. Upfront the Dayang ADV 150 gets an LED headlamp unit and an adjustable windshield. Underneath, the model gets a large 7 inch TFT instrument cluster which is said to come with GPS and APP support.  Besides this, the Dayang ADV 150 is said to feature backlit handlebar switches, USB charging socket, tyre pressure monitor and camera recorder (front and rear).

Power by a liquid-cooled 150cc single-cylinder engine, the Dayang ADV 150 pushes a peak power output of 12.1 kW and a peak torque of 14.6 Nm.  In the case of brakes, hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear take care of braking duties. 2-Channel ABS is also standard on the Dayang ADV 150! Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic front fork and twin shocks with remote reservoirs at the rear.

In the case of the pricing, the Aveta Dayang ADV 150 is said to be priced below the RM 10,000 mark in Malaysia excluding road tax, registration fee and insurance.  Compared to the 2021 Honda ADV 150 which is priced at RM 11,999, the Dayang ADV 150 would more likely roll in with an even more affordable price tag. Well, for now, we can’t say much, let’s just wait for the real deal!
