JPJ Services & Operating Hours During MCO 2.0

Here is the updated operating hours and services offered at JPJ counters located in states under PKPP/PKPB (RMCO/CMCO) and PKP (MCO).

 

 Please note, the latest updates are on top of the article with the announcement date in brackets. *

3rd Announcement (Posted on 29th January 2021)

JPJ has just announced an exemption for renewal of LKM (Lesen Kenderaan Motor / Road tax) and CDL (Permohonan Lesen Memandu Kompeten / Competent Driving License)  from the 1st of February to 31st of March 2021. However, vehicle owners with expired LKM are required to have valid insurance throughout the exemption period.
Holders of expired LKM and CDL need to renew their license within 30 days after the exemption period (30th of April 2021) via any JPJ, POS Malaysia, MYEGS, PUSPAKOM branches.

2nd Announcement (Posted on 21st January 2021)


For all states under MCO (From 22nd January 2021 – 04th February 2021)

JPJ operating hours: 9 am to 4 pm (1 pm – 2 pm closed)

Services offered: 

  1. Renewal of Motor Vehicle License (LKM) limited to trading motor vehicles such as taxi, rental cars and e-hailing only.
  2. Renewal of Malaysian Driving License and Vocational License (GDL and PSV) for drivers of trade vehicles such as taxi and e-hailing.
  3. Any dealings with obtaining / printing VOC and Public ID for access to MySIKAP system

Besides this, private individual matters are conducted online either using MySIKAP or JPJ-partnered online platforms.

PKPP & PKPB (RMCO & CMCO) States:

Pahang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Terengganu, Kelantan, Perlis and Sarawak

JPJ operating hours:

PKPB States

  • 8 am to 5 pm (1 pm – 2 pm closed)

PKPP States

  • Weekdays 8 am – 9 pm (1 pm – 2 pm closed)
  • Weekends 8 am – 5 pm(1 pm – 2 pm closed)

Services offered: All services are open as usual.

PKP (MCO) States:

Penang, Selangor, Federal Territory (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan), Melaka, Johor and Sabah

JPJ operating hours: 8 am to 5 pm (1 pm – 2 pm closed)

Services offered: 

  1. Renewal of Motor Vehicle License (LKM) limited to trading motor vehicles such as taxi, rental cars and e-hailing only.
